Kroos Downplays Rudiger-Füllkrug Training Ground Spat

German midfielder Toni Kroos dismisses the training ground altercation between teammates Antonio Rudiger and Niclas Füllkrug, emphasizing the positive aspects of such incidents.

German national team midfielder Toni Kroos has downplayed the significance of the altercation between his teammates Antonio Rudiger and Niclas Füllkrug during a training session.

Füllkrug seemed to be upset by Rudiger's aggressive play during training and the lack of fouls called in his favor by technical coach Mads Buttgereit.

A reporter from the German channel "Sport 1" claimed that Rudiger pulled Füllkrug to the ground, prompting the striker to angrily shout at Buttgereit, "Blow your whistle."

Sandro Wagner, one of the assistant coaches to Julian Nagelsmann, the German national team coach, had to intervene to separate Füllkrug and Rudiger to prevent the situation from escalating.

However, the defensive rock added fuel to the fire by clapping sarcastically to provoke Füllkrug, which led to him being forced to train alone.

The German channel "Sky Sport" observed that Rudiger tried to talk to Füllkrug after training, but the Borussia Dortmund striker pushed him away.

Kroos commented on the incident, saying, "I see it as positive that such things happen."

The 34-year-old explained, "Although it wasn't meant to be taken seriously, the only person Füllkrug was angry with was the referee (Buttgereit)."

The 109-time international player jokingly added, "He (Füllkrug) knows he only has himself to blame if he gets into a fight with Rudiger."
