Pedri Believes Spain's Strength Lies in Unity

Barcelona and Spain midfielder Pedri emphasizes the importance of teamwork and unity as Spain's key strengths in the Euro 2024.

Barcelona and Spain midfielder Pedri emphasized the importance of teamwork and unity as Spain's key strengths in the Euro 2024. In a press conference at the team's training camp in Donaueschingen, Germany, Pedri stated, "Our great advantage is that we are a team, a family, on and off the field. We are very united. There is not just one leader. The leader is the whole team, that's what sets us apart from other teams."

Spain, a three-time European champion (1964, 2008, 2012) and the 2023 Nations League winner, is relying on this collective strength and the brilliance of its young talents to regain its position among the world's top teams.

The Spanish national team has maintained an unbeaten record in official competitions for over a year and enters the tournament with full confidence after two big wins in their preparatory matches against Andorra (5-0) and Northern Ireland (5-1).

The 21-year-old Catalan midfielder confirmed his return to form during the two friendlies after more than a year and a half of absence from the squad due to recurring injuries with Barcelona.

Pedri explained, "Physically, I feel good and I arrive in Germany with great desire. I know I can contribute a lot. This season has been complicated, but it's clear that I'm at my best this year. I've worked hard to be here."

La Roja will have no room for error in Group B, the toughest in the competition, alongside defending champions Italy, Croatia led by star Luka Modric (runners-up in the 2023 Nations League and the 2018 World Cup), and Albania.
